Eat Your Way Through Downtown Las Vegas

There is no shame in this! Here at the Oasis at Gold Spike, we are full supporters of coming to Downtown Las Vegas to experience some incredible dishes. At the end of the day when you’re stuffed and happy, come back to your crash pad at Oasis to relax and digest. Here are our top 10 favorite places to chow in Downtown Las Vegas.

Eat. Eat’s motto is “Good food for good people, made with love in Downtown Las Vegas.” Eat has skyrocketed as one of the premier places for breakfast and lunch in Las Vegas. Owner and chef Natalie Young specializes in comfort foods, using fresh, sustainable, local and organic ingredients. The dishes burst with flavor and the casual atmosphere is perfect for a Sunday brunch.

Le Thai. You couldn’t ask for better Thai food. Try any of the curry dishes, and don’t miss out on the tasty appetizers like their chicken satay or crispy spring rolls. They offer a variety of soups, salads, noodle and rice dishes that your tastebuds will thank you for.  

La Comida. For your Mexican cuisine needs, La Comida has more types of tequila than seats in their restaurant. Mouthwatering shrimp ceviche, a variety of tacos and other specials make this restaurant a must. If you are a margarita lover, you have found your people.

Vegenation. We didn’t forget about the vegetarians and vegans! Vegenation is a community based restaurant that is eco-aware and 100% plant based. They are huge supporters of local farmers, and even their beer list is made up of local Las Vegas brewers. They care about their community, going green and making tasty food.

Zydeco Po-Boys. You don’t have to visit Louisiana to get authentic cajun food like gumbo or a shrimp po-boy sandwich. Offering a vegan or non-vegan gumbo and classic red beans and rice, you can get your cajun fix for an affordable price at Zydeco.

Park On Fremont. Prime people watching views of Fremont street are on the front patio as you eat American favorites. Enjoy a cocktail or a craft beer amongst their unique and eclectic decor. Try their Philly Mac and Cheese Steak, Fried Chicken and Waffle Sandwich or one of their burgers.

Pizza Rock. Created by Tony Gemignani, award-winning pizza master, Pizza Rock was voted best pizza of 2015 in Las Vegas and has dozens of options to satisfy any pizza or italian food craving you have. A glance at the menu lets you know that the dishes are elevated with quality ingredients but at an affordable price. You’ll want to come back over and over to try something new.

Cheffini’s. Located in the downtown Container Park, Cheffini’s is for hot dog lovers. They offer a selection of turkey, beef and vegan dogs with toppings unlike anything you’ve ever seen. For instance, the Classic features a grilled frank, onions, tomatoes, jalapeños, mozzarella, crushed potato chips, pineapple sauce, mustard, mayo and ketchup. They are family friendly with a kids menu so that the whole family can munch on dogs as you explore the Park.

Bin 702. Also located in the Container Park, Bin 702 has a full bar and outside seating to enjoy the ambiance of the happenings in the Park like watching shoppers and the kids exploring the play zone. Housed in two re-purposed shipping containers, Bin 702 serves fresh food, 82 wines and 20 craft beers all within 634 square foot space! 

The Grill at Gold Spike. The Grill is perfect for grabbing a casual bite right outside of your Oasis room if you don’t feel like venturing out. We have a variety of breakfast items from breakfast burritos to blueberry pancakes. If you’re more in the mood for lunch or dinner items, we offer a variety of burgers and dogs, salads, sandwiches and wraps. Try our Tres Fish Tacos or a classic Gold Spike Burger.
