Halloween in Downtown Las Vegas

Still haven’t figured out what you’re doing this weekend for Halloween? Want to have some fun instead of handing out candy all night? Downtown Las Vegas has you covered. First, book a room at the Oasis at Gold Spike boutique hotel in Las Vegas so that you’re in the middle of all the action by staying at the best hotel near Fremont Street. You’ll be within walking distance to the Container Park and Fremont street so that you have first access to all the events and celebrations.

The downtown Container Park is offering family friendly events all weekend long with a Halloween Family Festival on Saturday. The celebration starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 6 p.m. There will be free Halloween gifts for the first 250 children.

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Zombie Zumbathon on the lawn. Shake your zombie booty for a good cause! The Pink Tutus are dancing with the kids for donations for The Blood Drive. There will also be a silent auction to bid on some great items.

1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Halloween Book Readings around the park. Halloween book readings will be sponsored by the local downtown book store The Writer’s Block.

The very next day on Sunday, Nov. 1, the Container Park will be hosting a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration. Family friendly activities are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and include

the first 100 kids paint their own sugar skull on canvas, coloring activities and crafts, and a face painter. Pinches Tacos will be providing delicious tacos for only $2 each. There will also be a special screening of the movie “Book of Life” at 5 p.m.

The Downtown Container Park is located right on Fremont Street at 707 Fremont, Las Vegas NV, 89101.

For some more adult fun, after dark the Fremont Street Experience will be partying all night long for their OktoberFrightFest celebrations. Costumes are encouraged, as this is a fantastic night for checking out some amazing and creative Halloween costumes! From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. the Frank & the Steins band will be performing all of your favorite songs with a Halloween twist. Don’t miss their Viva Vision Light Shows that play every hour on the hour on their one of a kind LED video screen that creates the roof of the Fremont Street Experience pedestrian mall.

When you stay at Oasis boutique hotel, you won’t have to hassle with the traffic because you’ll be mere blocks away from all the fun. After a day of Halloween festivities, relax by the pool and order pool-side service, or check out our crazy (and just a bit creepy) Carnival Bar for a cold cocktail or beer if you want to keep the Halloween vibe going.

Want to turn in early for some sleep? Oasis provides earplugs for all guests so that you can get some shut eye without being disturbed.
